Gimos S.A. is an Argentine owned company with over twenty years of experience designing, manufacturing and commercializing clothes, shoes, and accessories for babies and children. From the beginning, the purpose of this company has been to offer high quality clothes for children following international fashion trends, though a wide range of all-inclusive proposals for children of all ages.
Case Analysis
The headquarters in Buenos Aires is home to the following departments: Design, Laboratory, Production and Quality Control, Marketing, Commerce, Administration, Stockroom and Showroom. This company owns over 20 exclusive stores, self-owned or franchised, which are located on the cities’ main avenues and shopping centers, and also throughout the country in more than 200 multi-brand stores. It exports designs and products to various Latin American countries and is in the process of expanding the business to the United States and Europe.
The company’s growth demanded a structural modernization to continue reaching its goals. Gimos needed to facilitate and automate internal processes and have more time to focus on the business core to further improve results.
Solution / Implementation
Gimos implemented the NeuralSoft comprehensive financial and accounting management solution: ERP, Human Resources, and Business Intelligence; and in 2001 it implemented new information engineering processes, adding new services and gaining peace of mind. The ASP service allowed Gimos to outsource the whole Computing Department, relying on NeuralSoft for other control, management, and maintenance activities.
The terminals were connected to the NeuralSoft servers and the users were trained to utilize all the system resources.
