With a trajectory of 50 years, this industrial hardware company has grown with its customers. These major players in the development of the country belong to different sectors such as: mining, oil, metallurgy, public services, food, construction, automotive, chemical, and petrochemical, and many more. Industrial Deckert S.A. has specialized technicians in its different divisions who provide counseling about industrial products to best suit the customers’ needs.
Company’s Profile
Deckert is an Argentine held family company which has been offering solutions to industries since 1979. It was founded by Pablo Deckert in 1956 to provide integral solutions; distributing machinery, tools, and inputs. This company is a direct importer and representative of industrial wheels, tools for the oil and mining industries, tubes and grids for gas and water companies. It has a catalog of 40 products for the distribution of industrial hardware products, hand tools, electrical and pneumatic machines, steel cables, and industrial conveyor belts.
Case Analysis
By mid 2005, and after a period of sustained growth, Industrial Deckert S.A. decided to acquire a new management system which could assist the staff perform the company’s daily operations. The new system had to offer the capability of creating a reliable database of suppliers, customers, and prices and at the same time integrate the information regarding purchases, sales, and accounting processes. The executives searched for a solution which would provide strategic information about their business, and which was quick for the users. Another important aspect to consider was the possibility to work online from any geographical location (San Juan, Santa Cruz, etc.).
Solution / Implementation
After evaluating various products, they concluded that NeuralSoft and its ERP, Business Intelligence, and ASP Solutions was the right choice.
The implementation took 8 months of an intensive consulting and re-engineering of specific processes to ensure high quality standards, and to allow for software configuration and parameterization, and training of final users.
High commitment levels and responsibility contributed to the success of the project. The work environment was always very good and all the staff was highly predisposed and motivated.
